The Health and Human Services Department is comprised of four divisions:

  • Human Services, which arranges medical care, emergency rent and utility assistance for low-income adults, as well as administering a variety of state-mandated services and county grants to non-profit agencies
  • Senior Services, which arranges and/or provides a variety of community and in-home support services to individuals over the age of 60
  • Adult Day Care, which provides in-facility respite care for functionally impaired adults over the age of 18
  • Housing Services, which administers the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) program.

Meeting Space

The conference room in the Social Services building comfortably seats 14 around a large table with additional seating for eight. It is available for use by any social service or governmental agency serving Flagler County.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Meals on Wheels program is looking for volunteer drivers to deliver meals throughout Flagler County. Substitute drivers are also needed. Deliveries are made one day a week, on Tuesday mornings. It takes an average of 1.5 hours to complete a route. There is no mileage reimbursement.
