The Human Resources Department has six employees including the director and is tasked with providing administrative and technical support services used to assist in the management of the Flagler Board of County Commissioners workforce.

The Human Resources Department is responsible for the following:

  • Recruitment, selection, and processing of new employees; and retention
  • Pay classification system
  • Employee personnel records
  • Administration of County benefits which include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, FSA and wellness programs
  • Labor relations
  • Safety, supervisory, and employee training
  • Risk management
  • Employment Law compliance 
  • Property and liability insurance
  • Professional Development
