NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Housing Finance Authority of Volusia County, Florida (the “Authority”) will hold and conduct a public hearing on May 23, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as such matters may be heard. The proposed issuance by the Authority of its Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds (Kensington at Old Kings Senior Living), Series 2024, in an aggregate principal amount of not to exceed $18,500,000 in one or more series at one or more times, pursuant to a plan of finance, the proceeds of which will be used to finance the construction and equipping of an up to an 115 unit multifamily rental housing facility to be occupied by elderly persons of low to moderate income, to be located west of the intersection of Old Kings Road and Hidden Lakes Drive, Palm Coast, Flagler County, Florida (the "Kensington at Old Kings Senior Living"). Kensington at Old Kings Senior Living will initially be owned and operated by Kensington at Old Kings Road Partners, Ltd., a Florida limited partnership, or one of its affiliates, the initial general partner of which will be Southern Affordable Services, Inc., a Florida not-for-profit corporation.
All interested persons are invited to attend said hearing and, either personally or through their representatives, present oral or written comments and discussion concerning the proposed issuance of the above-described bonds to finance the construction and improvement of the above-described project and the nature and location of the above-described project. Written comments may be submitted to the Housing Finance Authority of Volusia County, Florida, c/o Smith Bigman Brock P.A., 444 Seabreeze Boulevard, Suite 900, Daytona Beach, Florida 32118. Should any person decide to appeal any decision made by the Authority at this hearing, or by the Volusia County Council with respect to the approval of the issuance of the above-described bonds to finance the above-described project, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and he or she may need to insure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
