Howard A. Myrick, Ph.D., is a professor at Temple University Klein School of Media and Communications. He is a former U.S. Army Signal Corps Officer, who during the Vietnam War served in Psychological and Political Warfare.

During that time he was then promoted and sent to work at the Pentagon where he worked with the Assistant Secretary of Defense and the office of Information for the Armed Forces. 

Later in life Dr. Myrick became Director of the American Forces Radio and Television Service. When he is not serving his country he is writing books such as "Protect and Defend: The U.S.' Promise and Performance In an Age of Uncertainty".
