A claim moves faster when the paperwork is complete. At a minimum, bring a copy of your discharge, any service medical records you have, and medical records or provider names and dates covering treatment since separation. Claims involving a spouse or dependents also need marriage, death, divorce, and birth records, plus Social Security numbers and dates of birth.
